IR links reach escape velocity.

Like the idea of infrared data transmission, but waiting until transfer rates take off? Well, fasten your seat belt. Hewlett-Packard's new generation of infrared transceiver modules delivers the speed you need to get rid of those cumbersome cables.

Faster point-and-shoot connections.

With transfer rates up to 4 Mbps, the new HSDL-1100 transceiver module opens the door to numerous data-intensive applications, including LAN access, fast graphics file transfer between PCs, digital imaging, color printing and data transfer to and from phones and other mobile equipment. And these modules are compliant to the standards set forth by the Infrared Data Association (IrDA).

A flexible fit with existing designs.

The HSDL-1100 provides two transmission channels, one ranging from 2.4 Kbps to 115 Kbps and the other from 1.15 Mbps to 4 Mbps. Between the two, you'll have a flexible solution that complies to IrDA 1.0 and 1.1 specifications.

The module's small size is a big benefit in your real estate-critical layouts. Plus, it's designed to accom-modate light loss due to cosmetic windows, giving extra freedom with physical configurations.

Fast delivery, too.

Leveraging our proven IR module manufacturing expertise, we're producing the HSDL-1100 in large quantities with consistent, reliable quality. So if you've been thinking about using IR in your products, there won't be any delaysÑin your data or your designs.
